Riley and Sadie welcomed six beautiful, silky, vibrantly
healthy puppies on November 23! We are all very excited! There are 3 females and 3 males. We are calling them 'The Brady Bunch'. Riley is an AKC registered Yorkshire Terrier. Sadie is an ACA registered Silky Terrier. The puppies are showing wonderful and distinct personalities already. These puppies are exceptional and will be cherished companions. Update - 2/15/11: There is one adorable female and one fluffy male left. The girl will probably be about 6 or 7 pounds and the boy will be larger. They are 12 weeks old today.
This is the male. So engaging! Good eye contact, likes to talk, wants to be with people. He needs a family with members that stay home most of the time.
This is the female. She is outgoing, brave, adventurous, loving and independant.
OUR STORY IN PICTURES
Sadie's face has been described as 'elegant'. She weighs between 10 and 14 pounds depending on her cookie consumption and how many walks we take. She is very calm and has intense eye contact. Sadie loves to please and is very obedient.
Riley is the proud papa! He tops out at seven pounds. His job descriptions are 'Squirrel Hunter' and 'Homestead Security Guard'. This keeps him slim and trim. Riley is very loving and intelligent. He loves to play with stuffed animals, chase the squirrels and fetch. He dances on his hind legs on cue. My lap is his favorite place to be.
Both Yorkies and Silkys do not shed and are more likely to not trigger allergies. In fact they are considered 'hypoallergenic'.
Not to mention is so nice not to have to vacuum up pet hair!
